So, how much store credit can you get for your used books?

We give a store credit for books traded in. The value is based on our estimate of the value of the books.

Generally speaking we give 1 quarter of the cover price for pocket books that are in excellent condition.

Most of our trading is done in pocket books but that does not mean we don’t trade in other formats. Other books we will give credit for 50% of the amount for which we think we can sell them.

Often there is a variation in this basic method due to supply and demand or condition of the books in question. We try to keep the quality of our books high so bear that in mind when you bring in books.

Store Credit can be used for up to 50% of a purchase. For example, if a book purchase costs $10.00, your total cash for this purchase would be $5.00, and money taken from store credit is $5.00. Which means you get a discount off on our prices of used books.

$10.00 book purchased
-5.00  store credit (50% of purchase)
 +  .35   7% sales tax
——–
$5.35   total cash

Your trade credit left on your file will be used on future purchase. We, of course, accept debit cards, Visa, MasterCard, as well as cash.

Consignments

On very rare occasions we accept books on consignment to sell on a cash-only basis. Store credit may not be applied to the purchase of “Consignment” items.
